ID Robotics is a non-profit high school team that involves students in hands on engineering, programming, and business activities. The engineering team manages mechanical, electrical, CAD, special ops, and pneumatic skills to design and build a competitive robot. Programming pro-vides communication with the robot on specific tasks used in competitions (i.e. stacking, picking up, passing, throwing) and navigating a play-ing field. While all students are actively engaged in raising funds for the team, the business team leads in organizing, creating marketing materials, managing the team website, fundraising, and building com-munity. Mentors work alongside students to teach these important job skills, and several graduates have returned to the team to serve as a mentor.
